DataRiver is an associated partner of the project “Applying ARtificial Intelligence to Define clinical trajectorieS for Personalized predicTiOn and early deTEctiOn of comorbidiTy and muLtimorbidiTy pattErnS” (ARISTOTELES) funded by the HORIZON-HLTH-2022-STAYHLTH-01-two-stage call promoted by the European Commission.
The project, coordinated by the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, in collaboration with 17 other European private and public partners, aims to develop a multinational harmonized data platform to implement new artificial intelligence approaches ( AI) for the management of complex diseases, in which the progression and manifestations of comorbidities occur through multiple interacting pathways. Through the integration of AI into clinical practice, the platform will be a key tool for the development and validation of new, reliable AI tools for more personalized risk assessment and management.
This will represent a real paradigm shift in the treatment of atrial fibrillation, moving from a focus on individual risk factors and selected outcomes (e.g. stroke) to a holistic approach, which supports timely diagnostic and therapeutic interventions aimed at reduce disease progression, disability, hospitalizations and mortality, patient adherence and changes in lifestyle, medications and other treatment regimens.
DataRiver, thanks to the experience gained in the AI & Machine Learning field to provide support for diagnostics and planning of personalized care paths, in addition to the experience in the Telemedicine field, will be involved in the activities of understanding, needs assessment and involvement of stakeholders for the exploitation of artificial intelligence, and in communication and dissemination activities.
